Remnants II, Digital Art by Chris Marshall, Perth WA (Open Edition)
This started life as 4 small watercolour sketches done one Sunday years ago when I setup an art stall at the beautiful Araluen Botanic Park. Amazingly the shapes that caught my eye were of some dead flowers, poppies I seem to remember - they looked beautiful to me with their heads and drapes. A few days later I was doing some gardening when I pulled up a weed with an intriguing root system. I turned it upside down and photographed it then remembered my sketches so I photographed them too as I thought I could create an interesting image by combining them.
